Her Scenario:

On a panel about building a career in the music industry, the moderator invites her to share more about her passion for the work she’s doing and asks, “Why did you choose this path and why is the work important to you?”

Given the context, she knew that she would have about two minutes to respond and the end goal of the panel conversation was to get people excited about Social ARMM.

Her Response:

“I grew up all over the place and that was such a blessing for me because I was exposed to so many different cultures. Being culturally curious has played a big part in my career and really led me to my work in influencer marketing, partnerships, and the advertising business. My background is in the music business and talent management, is something that’s always been close to my heart. Growing up, I was always in someone’s talent show, in someone’s musical . . . Initially, I didn’t know if I wanted to be a performer, but I realized what I love most about working with talent is that you’re working to fulfill a creative vision; that’s something I still get to do in partnerships that I create with brands and advertisers, as well as talent. I still believe it’s really important to ensure when you’re working with advertisers that culture is at the forefront, so I do my best to make sure that I’m as curious as I can be so I can recommend the right cultural movements, the right cultural leaders to help facilitate and be a part of things that are happening in the marketplace.”
